About Placenta Encapsulation

The placenta is an organ that is grown specifically for the purpose of providing nutrients and oxygen to a developing child in utero. There have been many uses of the placenta in history that include cosmetic products and medical uses. In recent years it has become a popular practice to ingest the placenta after birth. There has been a few research studies, but more anecdotal evidence that shows the benefits of placenta consumption. Some of those benefits include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Increasing milk production for lactating mothers

  • Improved energy/decreased fatigue

  • Enhanced mood

  • Decreased occurrence of postpartum depression/anxiety

  • Rebalancing Hormones

The Process:

The traditional method of placenta encapsulation will be used, which is based on Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine (TCM).  This process includes draining the blood, steaming the placenta, and dehydrating it before grinding into a powder for capsules.

The placenta will be processed and prepared in your home in order to preserve the natural biome of the placenta. Processing the placenta in your home ensures that there will be no cross contamination of your placenta and no outside bacteria affecting the process.
